Seeing that used car sales in Indonesia are growing more rapidly than new car sales, the company is optimistic that this year's revenue will grow double digits. The company is focusing on opening showrooms in more strategic locations, especially in the Jabodetabek area, to encourage faster growth.
Meanwhile, on the internal side, the Company also continues to improve business processes to support rapid business growth. This progress is supported by the availability of technological infrastructure and service networks that have been built so far.
On the other hand, rising interest rates, rising prices of new cars, and uncertainty in macroeconomic conditions have made some people turn away from buying new cars to buying used cars which are more affordable. As a result, new car sales numbers have decreased..
“Of course we will try our best to take advantage of this increasingly positive used car sales prospect. Therefore, ASLC will be increasingly active in expanding its branches to capture opportunities for the ongoing increase in the used car market. Management will focus on business development efforts, increasing productivity, and maintaining cost efficiency," said President Director of Autopedia Sukses Lestari, Jany Candra.
Furthermore, to encourage accelerated business development, the Company has established an offline to online to offline strategy, which attracts customers offline through the showroom, then explores vehicle stock online, and then visits the showroom to complete the purchase. Therefore, the Company will continue to increase its outlet network, both in the JBA, Caroline.id, and the newest business unit, namely MotoGadai. Throughout 2024, ASLC has added 6 new showrooms in Ciledug, Pondok Cabe, Karawang, Tambun, Mampang and Poris. Caroline.id will add more showrooms to a total of 18 showrooms by the end of 2024.
Apart from that, the company is also intensively marketing online on various social media platforms. “To further increase brand awareness, the Company will continue to strengthen the synergy of its offline and online networks through social media,” said Jany Candra.
Until the first half of this year, every ASLC business unit was able to contribute positively. Caroline.id recorded an increase in revenue of 26.2% YoY to IDR 253.5 billion. Auctions through JBA also experienced revenue growth of 43.7% YoY to IDR 126.5 billion. The pawn business through MotoGadai has also contributed to the Company's revenue of IDR 1.7 billion.
“Until the first half of 2024, the Company continues to show positive performance. Supported by the increasingly bright prospects for the used vehicle industry, we are optimistic about achieving double digit revenue and net profit growth targets this year,” concluded Jany Candra.
